Dolphin !!!!

I spent an afternoon walking along the St Pete waterfront. At low tide, it’s a good place to see fishies and crustaceans, and at high tide, I often see Dolphins.

So here are some photos …

I like walking along this stretch of seawall by the St Pete Pier

The city has dumped a bunch of these cement artificial reefs here to encourage marine growth

This tourist and Pelican had their eyes peeled—but for different things

There’s a colony of feral Black-Headed Nanday Parakeets that have claimed this turf

An Oystercatcher walking along the seawall.  I don’t see them here very often.

I do not know the story behind this sunken sailboat. One of the city workers on the Pier told me it was towed there by the Coasties after they rescued somebody, and it sank about three weeks ago.

A Dolphin!!! Just a few yards away.

Dolphins are hard to photo—they only surface for a few seconds and you never know where. I got lucky with this shot.

I hoped he would stick around for a while and hunt for fish along the seawall

But he just kept on going and disappeared
