Holley Museum of Military History

This is a VERY small museum tucked away in an office building, consisting mostly of model airplanes, ships, and tanks. It is free, though, and has a few genuine articles, and is apparently a labor of love for the volunteers–they were eager to talk “history” with me.

Model of an F2A Brewster Buffalo WW2 fighter

The design used in the original flags flown by the US Navy. I’ve always thought the rattlesnake would have been a better symbol for the US than an eagle….
