A cold front came through last night, so the HIGH today is 35 degrees. Bloody fucking hell, it’s cold…….

Supposed to be cold all weekend and warm up Monday. I’m spending my days camped out in the food court at the Greenspoint Mall.

Damn, I hate cold weather……………….

  1. Try twenty below zero and 40 MPH winds in ND. Was 75 and cozy in my van though. Teriyaki steak, twice baked and stuffed potato, shrimp salad, and my home made pineapple upside down cake for desert.

If you can live comfortably inside your van, you can laugh at the weather…

    Thanks for commenting. 🙂

As I have noted elsewhere, for everything that needs to be done in van-dwelling, there are many ways of doing it–each of which will be suited for some people and not for others. I have indeed tried many of the methods which have worked for you, and alas found them either unsuitable or unnecessary for me. After all, my situation, as a freely-mobile snowbird traveler, is far different from yours, as a fixed dweller in a not-van-friendly climate.

I did find one of your comments particularly interesting, though–your experiences with cops and other people who, you say, treated you “like a criminal”. My experience has been absolutely the opposite: in my two years traveling in over two dozen cities all around the country, I have had only one encounter with police (and that was minor and friendly) and no unfriendly encounters with anybody else. I do of course try to practice stealth and avoid attracting unwanted attention.

    Good travels to you. 🙂

  3. In my five years as a gypsy, I never had any problems along the way either. But I was cautious and never tried to draw attention to myself. Most people are good at heart.
