While visiting the Albuquerque BioPark Botanical Garden, I happened to see a miniature wildlife drama play out in front of me as I watched….
This is a Dolomedes Fishing Spider. He (actually it looks like a “she”) is waiting for an aquatic bug or a small fish to swim by.
But I was not the only one to notice the Spider sitting there—this Bullfrog was also looking for lunch
The Bullfrog stealthily made his way closer……
But the Spider noticed him and dashed to the nearby shore
Once more the Bullfrog tried to get close enough for a shot….
But again the Spider saw him and ran away into some leaf litter
Leaving the Bullfrog without any lunch
