BioPark Zoo

Albuquerque doesn’t just have a “zoo”—it has a BioPark with three separate sections: the Zoo, the Aquarium, and the Botanical Garden.

The Zoo has all the typical animals we’d expect—rhino, gorilla, elephant, lion, giraffe. But it also had some species I had not seen before, including a very nice display of animals from Australia.

Alas, some areas of the zoo were closed, as there is construction going on—there will be a new African Plains display, and the jaguars are getting a new enclosure.

Here are some photos from an afternoon at the zoo.
