Alameda Park Zoo

Alameda Park in downtown Alamagordo, although a small zoo in a small city (with a small budget), has a nice little zoo with a geographically diverse collection of animals. Alas like so many other small zoos it uses chain-link fencing for its enclosures, which provide cheap and easy to maintain facilities, but also makes it rather hard on photographers.

So here are some photos from a visit.

  1. It is a very nice little zoo. Although the admission is only $2.50, they do seem to have some money to spend (perhaps they got a big donation from someone) and they are expanding quite a bit.
